A word from our founder
Duranno Ministry was born out of the most diffi cult and painful time of my life. I was lying on a hospital bed meditating on God’s Word, when I came across the “lecture hall of Tyrannus” in Acts 19. The lecture hall of Tyrannus (Duranno) was a place from which Paul could preach the Gospel and transform culture with the Word of God. Inspired by this moment in church history, I started to share my vision of taking Christ-centered culture to believers and churches—first in Korea and then to the nations. Those were our first steps.In many ways,
the scene that was captured in Acts 19
closely reflects the history of Duranno Ministry.
We began to work to proclaim the kingdom of God, raise up and nurture disciples with His Word, and bring Gospel transformation into each sphere of society. As we started a ministry for families and carried out discipleship training programs, we created a one-to-one discipleship movement and worked with all our hearts to foster a culture of praise and prayer within the church. Though we faced many challenges, I knew without a doubt that God had even bigger dreams than we did. Today, Duranno continues to work tirelessly through our many ministries which include publishing, seminars and Quiet Time, digital content services, bookstores and online mall, and global networks. And I am still dreaming new dreams. Carried by the two wings of spirituality and professionalism, we persevere in our work to proclaim the unchanging, all surpassing worth of the Gospel.
A dream is not something you can just give up on.
A dream is something you can never erase and never throw away;
it is something you will keep chasing even if it kills you.
And our dream is not of this world,
it is the dream of our heavenly Father.
Duranno Ministry is a spiritual community made up of people who share this dream. The Lord still says to us today, “Let it be done just as you believed it would” (Matt. 8:13). In the midst of these changing times, Duranno Ministry strives to be a leading provider of high quality Christian content and will continue to do God’s work until His dream becomes a reality. A message from our President
From the day Pastor Yongjo Ha founded Duranno to the day he died,
he loved and cared for this ministry dearly. Although he served here for many
years and gave it every ounce of his strength, he passed away before fully
realizing the dream God gave him. Pastor Ha may no longer be with us, but
the vision he left behind is still advancing forward in a large strides.
We still have the faithful workers who pursued God’s vision alongside Pastor Ha and all the books that they published together.
We also have our readers who are both comforted and challenged by those books.
And above all, we have our God who continues to work powerfully through our ministry.
Duranno Ministry is a community of love that walks together with God and together with all of you. Through the publication of books and magazines, our QT and seminar ministries, bookstores and online mall, and global network, we will strive with all our strength to record and share the great works that God has done and will continue to do. We pray blessings upon all of you who support and love Duranno and give all glory to God.
